Recognizing the power of playful learning, Uplift K-12 offers an assortment of math-centric games and resources that empower educators to deliver tough topics in a lively, hands-on fashion. However, in its pioneering journey, Uplift K-12 encountered two major hurdles:

  1. A significant drop-off between user registration and launching a lesson.

  2. Limited user engagement with the platform's content.

Below were the quotes from our user interviews:

“I feel like navigating the site is confusing. I can’t find some of the things I need quickly”

“I want a more personalized experience when signing up”

“I wish there was an easier way to filter games that I was looking for”

Beside that, 4 out of 5 users struggled to find the game library, with one mistaking the 'import from library' function as a means to upload personal files.

Additionally, some users had hard time to locate the tool needed to play the game per instructions.
